Bio

Yassine Talhaoui holds a BA in Spanish and education from Johannes Gutenberg University in Germany and an MA in English from Clark University. Prior to joining Rivers in 2022, he worked at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, where he held several roles, including associate director of admissions and director of diversity and inclusion. An experienced athlete, he played semi-professional basketball in Europe. Yassine speaks five languages and has taught Spanish and French at the Watkinson School in Hartford.

Bio

Bruce Taylor joined the Rivers faculty in 1997. He currently teaches media literacy, assists in the library, and is involved in the school’s community service and diversity efforts. A Rivers graduate, he formerly served two years on the Rivers Board of Trustees and five years on the Alumni Council. Previously, Bruce directed youth programs at The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts and The Upham’s Corner Health Center. Bruce attended Dartmouth College for three years before deciding to travel the U.S. He holds a BA and an MEd from Cambridge College.

Bio

Anne Tuomey is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in marketing research. She also holds a certificate in culinary arts from Boston University. She worked in institutional sales for Brown Brothers Harriman and was a regional sales representative for Dow Jones & Company. After her career in financial sales, Anne became the articles editor for Cook’s Illustrated magazine in the early 1990s. Anne joined the Rivers admission office in the fall of 2011.

Bio

Eitan Tye joined Rivers in 2020 as a Middle School humanities teacher, advisor, and coach. He holds a B.A. in sociology from Duke University and earned an M.A. in global migration and policy from Tel Aviv University during the 2022-23 school year. Eitan previously worked at the Nueva School outside of San Francisco, where he taught eighth- and ninth-grade humanities, coached a variety of sports, advised middle school students, and chaperoned a cultural exchange trip to Spain. He has also taught English in Israel. As a teacher, Eitan enjoys helping students grow as writers, readers, and thinkers, supporting them as they develop a sense of intercultural competence.
